The TRF Second Chances Program right here at Wyoming Correctional Facility in Attica, NY is a unique and pioneering program where inmates build life skills while participating in a vocational training program as they provide supervised care to our retired racehorses. This is a non-for-profit organization that relies solely on donations for the program and their retired race horses.

The Rural Outreach Center serves families and individuals living in ROC County – an area of southern Western New York that covers more than 60 zip codes.

People living in ROC County face barriers unique to rural populations, including limited (or no) public transportation, spread-out mental health services, and limited access to specialty services addressing housing issues, substance use, and domestic violence.  For ROC County residents, there is a shortage of primary care and mental health providers. 

In 2018 we expanded & "downsized" our equine endeavors to include raising & training registered & non-registered Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys for pleasure, show & therapy.

   These adorable little equines are friendly, gentle, playful & delightful. They are wonderful companions & hard workers when trained to drive, carry small passengers or packs or compete over obstacles.  Further, they are perfect for Equine Assisted Therapy and Psychotherapy, especially for children or adults that prefer their small size to that of a full grown horse. .
